Installing the Oso Memory Profiler is a very straight forward operation. Simply run the Windows installer file downloaded from the Oso Corporation website. The installer will lead you through the installation process. It should be noted that due to the extremely low disk space requirements of the Oso Memory Profiler (under 5MB), the installer does not offer any options to change the install location. This is by design. The Oso Memory Profiler installs files into two primary locations:
- The main program files in the Program Files folder.
- The Memory Profiler SDK files in C:\ProgramData\Oso\MemoryProfiler\SDK.
When upgrading your version of the Oso Memory Profiler to a more recent minor version, there is no need to uninstall any previous version. The installer will always do this automatically. When upgrading to a new major version, your existing version will not be uninstalled. Major versions of all Oso Corporation products can be installed concurrently.
Should you wish to uninstall the Oso Memory Profiler for whatever reason, you may do so through the Windows Control Panel.
Once installed, you can launch the Oso Memory Profiler through the shortcut located in the Windows Start Menu.
