The toolbar at the top of the main Oso XML Merge window provides immediate access to most common operations that you will need.As you can see in the above image, the buttons in the toolbar are loosely collected into groups containing similar functionality.
Icons on the left side of the Oso XML Merge window provide access to functionality that will help you compare or merge your XML files, while the two icons on the right provide quick access to help and additional information about Oso XML Merge.
Between the left and right aligned buttons you will find information detailing how many differences and conflicts can be found in the currently open XML files, as well as the name of the Format Specification currently being used.
The rest of this page will detail the functionality of each button in the toolbar. The sections below correspond to the groups displayed in the toolbar.
Input Commands
Open
Displays the Open Dialog so you can select new XML files to compare and/or
merge. |

Reload
Reloads the currently open XML files. You will be prompted to save any existing merge changes before reloading the files. |
Output Commands
Save
Saves the merged XML files to the specified output file. If no output file was specified on the command line, you will be prompted to
select a destination file. |

Save As
Displays the Save As dialog so you can save the merged XML files to a new filename. |
Search Command
Search
Displays the Search Dialog that allows you to find text within the loaded
XML files. |
Navigation Aids
Previous Difference
Navigates to and highlights the previous difference between the input files. |

Next Difference
Navigates to the next difference between the input files. |
|
Previous Conflict
Navigates to the previous conflict between the input files. A conflict occurs when there is no clear choice about which input should
be selected for the final output. |

Next Conflict
Navigates to and highlights the next conflict between the input files. |
Help Commands
Oso Corporation Website
Opens the main page of the Oso Corporation website in your web browser. |

Online User Manual
Opens the Oso XML Merge user manual in your favourite web browser. |
